  1. After deciding on the university, you need to determine and figure out how much money you would need to cover the cost of your entire course fees and the cost of living while pursuing your study in the UK. For determining your living costs, you can contact http://www.india.idp.com/.
  2. When you are accepted by a registered university, get your confirmation of acceptance for studies (CAS) from them and gather all the documents you submitted to get your CAS. This will give you 30 points out of the 40 required to qualify for a Tier 4 Student Visa.
  3. The other 10 points will be based on the proof of your financial capacity, such as your bank statements or that of your parents/guardian.
  4. After gathering the required documents, you are ready to complete the application form. The completed forms, supporting evidence and visa application would be checked by the IDP Counsellor before it’s submitted.
  5. You must also make arrangements to enroll your biometrics, which include the photograph and fingerprints. This is usually done at the visa issuing post where you submit your application. Inside UK, it is done at any of the enrollment centers or a public enquiry office.

The application for a Tier 4 Student Visa is usually lodged 3 months prior to the commencement of your course.
